This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of GlobMaps APIs, data products, dashboards, and all related services ("Service"). By accessing the Service you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service.
You may use the Service for lawful purposes including: integrating climate risk data into your own applications; research, analysis, and reporting; building dashboards or visualisations for internal or commercial use; and automating data retrieval via our API within your allocated quota.
You must not: (a) resell, sublicense, or redistribute raw API data as a standalone data product without written agreement; (b) use the Service to build a competing climate data API platform; (c) attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls; (d) scrape beyond your plan quota or use automated means to extract bulk datasets not covered by your tier; (e) use the Service in any application where data inaccuracies could directly endanger human life without appropriate independent verification; (f) process personal data via the Service in violation of applicable privacy laws.
Your API keys are credentials unique to your account. You are responsible for keeping them confidential. Do not embed keys in publicly accessible client-side code or public repositories. You are liable for all activity conducted under your keys.
Each plan includes defined rate limits and monthly request quotas. Sustained traffic that degrades service for other users — even within quota — may result in temporary throttling. If your use case requires higher throughput, contact us to discuss an Enterprise plan.
GlobMaps data must not be used as the sole input for decisions in life-safety, emergency dispatch, nuclear, aviation, or medical contexts. Independent verification from authoritative sources is required for such applications.
Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund, in addition to any other remedies available to GlobMaps under law or contract.
We may update this AUP at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect for existing users. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
